さつまいも畑が、

暑さで干からびないように草マルチをしています。

草を敷くことで、

土の乾燥をやわらげ、水分を保ちやすくなります。

厳しい暑さの中でも、

少しでも野菜たちが過ごしやすい環境になればと思いながら作業しました。

自然の力も借りながら、

これからも元気に育ってくれることを願っています。

I spread grass mulch around the sweet potato field to help protect it from the summer heat.

The layer of grass helps keep moisture in the soil and reduces drying under the strong sun.

Even during the hottest days, I hope it creates a more comfortable environment for the plants.

Working with nature in this way is one of the simple joys of growing vegetables.
