 【畑日記 / Farm Diary】春キャベツさんへの感謝｜Growing Through the Heat and Insects（2026年5月21日）

5/21（木）｜畑日記

春キャベツさん。

今年の4月は暑い日が多く、

結球は難しそうでした。

モンシロチョウの幼虫さんにも、

たくさん葉っぱを食べられました。

それでも、

ここまで育ってくれたことに感謝しています。

畑にいると、

人だけではなく、

虫さんたちも一緒に生きていることを感じます。

思い通りにはいかないこともありますが、

自然の中で育ってくれたこと自体が、

ありがたいことなのだと思います。

The spring cabbages struggled through the unusually hot weather this April.

Many of their leaves were eaten by cabbage butterfly caterpillars, yet they continued to grow.

In the field, I’m reminded that vegetables, insects, people, and seasons are all sharing the same space together.

Even when things do not grow perfectly, I feel grateful simply for their life and growth.
